French Biryani Movie Review: Danish Sait Impresses In This Comedy Of Errors That Is Aware Of Its Surrounding
What’s Good: Danish Sait and the woke sense of humour that this comedy of error serves.
What’s Bad: The rough patches in between where you wait for the next joke.
Loo Break: Maybe 1, but make it fast, you might miss a punch.
Watch or Not?: Watch it, we deserve this light yet clever content in these trying times.

A French immigrant is misunderstood to be someone else and is chased by a Don (whose biggest punishment is making people hear loud scratching sounds), the police inspector (who wants promotion) and well everyone who is running behind him. Amid this is an auto-rickshaw driver, Asgar (Danish Sait) who is tagged along with the immigrant mentioned above. What happens in these three days is the story that ends in a place called Climax theatre. This is the second Kannada film to get a digital release after Law.

French Biryani is a comedy of errors that never takes itself seriously. It is a hilarious tour of Bangalore which is minus the IT parks. Writers Avinash Balekkala and Pannaga Bharana write this world as a stage where an improv performance is on. You are introduced to various characters which are over the top but serve a purpose in the story and your laughter meter.

Crotone celebrate 'beautiful' promotion to Serie A

a man in a baseball game: Crotone will be back in Serie A in 2020-21© Gabriele Maltinti/Getty Images for Lega Serie B Crotone will be back in Serie A in 2020-21

Crotone president Gianni Vrenna led the celebrations on Friday after his side secured promotion back to Serie A.

A 5-1 thrashing of Livorno and Spezia's draw with Cremonese saw the Pitagorici seal a top-flight spot for just the third time.

Crotone finished 17th in 2016-17 but were relegated a year later.

"This Serie A [promotion] is perhaps the most beautiful success since I've been at Crotone," Vrenna said, as quoted by Tuttomercatoweb.

"We need to enjoy this day of celebration and then let's try to finish the league in the best way. Then, we'll start planning for next season."

Crotone, who have scored a club-record 62 goals in Serie B this season and enjoyed a 12-game winning run, will join Benevento in moving up to the top tier next term.

They host Frosinone on Sunday before concluding their 2019-20 campaign away to Trapani on July 31.

Simy brace seals automatic Serie A promotion for Crotone as Spezia draw at Cremonese

Simy bagged a brace as Crotone earned a 5-1 Italian Serie B win at Livorno and gained automatic promotion to Serie A after Spezia were held to a goalless draw with Cremonese.

The Pythagoreans came into this match six points clear of the Little Eagles and were well aware they would be making it back into the top-flight if they won their match while Spezia failed to garner maximum points at the Stadio Giovanni Zini.

It didn’t start well for Giovanni Stroppa’s men as Livorno took a 12th minute lead thanks to Mattia Trovato.

It was all Crotone from there however with Niccolo Zanellato and Alberto Gerbo netting between Simy’s 35th-minute strike. Junior Messias made a run down the right flank and his pass found Simy who tucked the ball home with consummate ease.

Crotone extended their 3-1 first-half lead after the break via Salvatore Molina before Simy put the final nail in the coffin from the penalty spot in the 59th minute for his 20th Serie B goal of the season which now takes him top of the charts ahead of Pietro Iemmello and Stefano Pettinari.

The 28-year-old Nigeria international simply had a storming game with a total of seven shots, three of which were on target while he also missed two big chances. He made 10 accurate passes which were at 90.9%.  Simy equally won four of five total duels.

Crotone are back in the Serie A for the first time since the 2017/18 season when they finished 18th. It was just their second season in the top-flight having gained promotion the previous season for the first time ever and finished in 17th spot.

Simy joined the Calabria outfit in 2017 from Gil Vicente and scored seven goals in 23 outings in that campaign.

Having gone three games without a goal after the restart of Serie B in June, Simy scored in his next three matches which started with a hat-trick against league champions Benevento in a 3-0 win before solo goals against Cittadella and Pordenone.

Realme 6i/6S hands-on review

                                     Realme 6i/6S hands-on review

 Introduction
Today, Realme announced the Realme 6i for the Indian market, and we've got some impressions for you. Before we get cracking, let's clear up some confusion.
The Realme 6i for the Indian market is a renamed variant of the global
Realme 6s

.

The global Realme 6i is a different model altogether, selling in India under the name Narzo 10.

Realme 6iRealme 6i (India) Realme 6i/6SRealme Narzo 10Realme 6i (India) Realme 6i/6SGlobal model (Realme 6i) = Indian model (Realme Narzo 10):

Finally, both the Realme 6i for India and the Realme 6s for the global market are almost identical to the Realme 6, but have a slightly downgraded main camera. This one is available in both regions. Hope this makes more clear.

Realme 6Realme 6i (India) Realme 6i/6SRealme 6 - available in both markets

Since it takes after the Realme 6, the Indian Realme 6i, which we have for hands-on today, has a 6.5-inch IPS LCD of 1080p resolution and a 90Hz high refresh rate, which is a key differentiator at this INR 13,000/15,000 price point.

Unlike the Realme 6, which has a 64MP primary camera, the Indian Realme 6i uses a 48MP Quad-Bayer unit instead. The rest of the cameras are identical across all three devices - an 8MP ultrawide, 2MP macro and depth sensors and a 16MP selfie camera, embedded into a punch hole inside the display.

The chipset is also the same Helio G90T octa-core unit, paired with either 4GB or 6GB of RAM. The Realme 6i has a 4,300 battery that supports 30W charging - more on that below.

    Realme 6i (India) Realme 6i/6S

Realme will give people a choice of Eclipse Black and Lunar White colors and two configurations - 4/64GB and 6/64GB. The entry level model costs INR 12,999 (€150, converted) while adding 2GB of RAM gets you up to INR 14,999 (€170, converted).

Realme 6i launch at 12.30 pm today: Where to watch the live-stream, specifications

Realme is launching a new budget smartphone in India called the Realme 6i. The smartphone will be the third variant under the Realme 6 series and is expected to sit below the Realme 6 and the Realme 6 Pro.

Realme 6i launch: Where to watch the live-stream

Realme is scheduled to launch the Realme 6i at 12.30 pm on July 24. The budget smartphone will be launched online and interested viewers can watch it on the company’s YouTube channel (linked below) and other social media accounts.

    Realme 6i specifications

Realme has confirmed some key specifications before the Realme 6i launch. The budget smartphone is confirmed to feature a 90Hz refresh rate display with a 20:9 aspect ratio and a 90.5 percent screen-to-body ratio. This smartphone is likely to sport the same 6.5-inch screen found on the Realme 6 (Review).

Under the hood, Realme 6i has a MediaTek Helio G90T chipset. The processor offers better performance during intense usage, compared to Qualcomm Snapdragon 720G.

The rear panel sports a quad-camera setup and we can expect the smartphone to feature a 48MP primary sensor instead of the 64MP camera found on the Realme 6 Pro (Review).

Realme 6i also features a 4,300 mAh battery and 30W fast charging. The smartphone runs on Android 10-based Realme UI.

Great News For Cricket Fans As BCCI Confirms Dates For IPL 2020 KEY POINTS BCCI has confirmed IPL 2020 will begin on Sept. 19 The final is scheduled to take place in November IPL 2020 will mostly be held in the UAE The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has reportedly confirmed that the Indian Premier League (IPL) will be played this year. According to the Indian cricket website Cricbuzz, the IPL Governing Council chairman Brijesh Patel has revealed that the much-awaited T20 league will commence on Sept. 19 and the final will be played on Nov. 8. The report has further disclosed that more details including teams’ departure and the full schedule of the tournament will be

learned after the IPL Governing Council meeting, which is due to take place next week. Since India’s coronavirus pandemic condition is getting worse with every passing day, the BCCI has chosen the United Arab Emirates (UAE) as the host of the 13th edition of the IPL. While the BCCI is yet to receive clearance from the Indian government, they are confident about hosting the entire tournament in the UAE. The country has some experience of hosting the IPL as a part of IPL 2014 was played there because of the general elections in India. It was earlier reported that the cricket board has written to the Indian government seeking permission for the IPL 2020 to be shifted to the UAE and also obtain the required travel permission for the players and team officials. The IPL news is expected to excite the fans as they will finally be able to watch their heroes such as Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma, David Warner, MS Dhoni, and AB de Villiers once again on the field. Moreover, the fans have not watched Dhoni in action since India’s heartbreaking semi-final loss to New Zealand at the 2019 Cricket World Cup.

IPL 2020 Likely To Take Place In September After World T20 2020 Gets Postponed: Report KEY POINTS IPL 2020 could begin Sept. 26, according to reports BCCI is planning to shift this year's IPL to the UAE The final is expected to be played either Nov. 7 or 8 The arguably most-awaited cricket tournament of the calendar year, Indian Premier League (IPL) could be played September with the ICC T20 World Cup 2020 officially postponed amid the coronavirus pandemic. IPL, which is usually played between March and May every year, is reportedly set to be shifted to the United Arab Emirates and could begin Sept. 26. The International Cricket Council (ICC) recently postponed the T20 World Cup 2020, which was originally scheduled to be played in Australia from October to November. It will now be held either 2021 or 2022. With the World Cup making way off the calendar, it has given a chance for the IPL to finally take place and, according to renowned cricket

website ESPN Cricinfo, the entire tournament will be played in the UAE and the final is expected to be played on either Nov. 7 or 8. The report has also revealed that the BCCI has written to the Indian government seeking permission for the tournament to be shifted to the UAE and also obtain the required travel permission for the players and officials of the teams. Earlier this year when the pandemic shook the world first, the BCCI had suspended the IPL indefinitely which was supposed to commence March 29. With over a million cases at present, India is currently the third most affected country in the world after the U.S. And Brazil and has officially recorded over 26,000 deaths. Speaking in an interview, IPL Governing Council chairman Brijesh Patel has said that the Indian board will seek the government’s permission in the next couple of weeks regarding IPL’s plans. "Hopefully, in the next couple of weeks (BCCI) will seek clearances from the government for the tournament (IPL) to be played in the UAE. The UAE government offered us to host the IPL in their country and we are very much

aware of the facilities and situation there. The IPL (first leg) was played there (UAE) in 2014 so we know what we are looking at," Patel added. India teammates Virat Kohli, M.S. IPL 2020 Dates Confirmed: Logistical Problems That Lie Ahead For Taking IPL 13 To UAE © Provided by India.Com When IPL Chairman Brijesh Patel confirmed the dates for the start of season 13, there was a huge sense of joy among the fans, who had already been facing the wrath of the coronavirus pandemic. The news came as a breath of fresh air and brought relief to most cricket fans, who had not got to see their stars take to the field. But the logistical challenges that the board will have to face amid the pandemic are huge. To take a tournament – which is held in India to the UAE is no mean feat. According to a report in The Times of India, franchises want to assemble their players three weeks prior to the tournament – which would mean mid-August. So, how would that happen? Over 1200 people, including

players, support staff, officials from different parts of the world have to be brought together. The traveling and then the bio-bubble that the UAE has put in place for health reasons would include multiple testing and quarantine. In order to speed up the process of assembling players from different parts of the globe, team owners have been asked to help out with private planes and visas. ”These plans need to be worked out thoroughly”, said a source to TOI. Well, BCCI has shifted the tournament out of the country on two occasions, but this time the time period is short and the scenario completely different, which makes it doubly tough. ”IPL’s biggest responsibility will be to put a well-panned bio-secure bubble in place”, said a source. Before the departure, every individual will take two COVID-19 tests 72 hours prior to travel and test again on arrival, that is difficult. Also one of the

major reasons why IPL has agreed to shift the tournament to UAE is because there are two grounds and both are on the outskirts of the city. ”This is too scary. There are so many questions. How will the players fly? When? Are we supposed to do our own bookings? What about the operational procedures?” Three franchises told TOI.

The ‘Kissing Booth’ Sequel Is Better Than The First. That’s Not Saying Much.

The ‘Kissing Booth’ Sequel Is Better Than The First. That’s Not Saying Much.

The ‘Kissing Booth’ Sequel Is Better Than The First. That’s Not Saying Much.

The ‘Kissing Booth’ Sequel Is Better Than The First. That’s Not Saying Much.

For those who would rather not engage with the original, a quick recap: “The Kissing Booth” follows Elle Evans (Joey King), a Los Angeles teenager who risks her friendship with classmate Lee Flynn (Joel Courtney) by falling for his rebellious older brother, Noah (Jacob Elordi). Elle and Lee abide by a set of rules they created as children, one of which is to never date the other’s relatives. They fall out when Lee discovers the illicit romance, leading Noah and Elle to briefly break up. Eventually, everyone makes peace. The sequel picks up with Elle and Lee’s senior year, and Noah’s freshman year of college. Elle once again struggles to reconcile her relationships with each Flynn brother: Does she chase her and Lee’s shared dream of attending the University of California at Berkeley, or does she apply to Harvard University to be with Noah? Elle’s jealousy and constant recollection of Noah’s playboy past puts strain on their long-distance relationship. Enter Marco (Taylor Zakhar Perez), her hot dance competition partner. While the kissing booth again serves as a

tangential plot device — in both films, Elle and Lee run one for a school fundraiser — noticeable changes suggest co-writers Jay Arnold and Vince Marcello (who also directed) responded to criticism of the 2018 film. Noah’s rage and borderline abusive tendencies have dissipated, replaced with homesickness and, from what he tells Elle, unflinching loyalty. Misogynist currents are scrapped in favor of a story line empowering Lee’s girlfriend, Rachel (Meganne Young). If “The Kissing Booth 2” is watchable, viewers have Elle to thank; King remains the strongest component of a now-franchise that, quite frankly, might be beneath her. The actress, who earned an Emmy nomination last year for playing Gypsy Rose Blanchard in the Hulu miniseries “The Act,” makes the most of a thinly written quirky girl by contributing a vivaciousness that (at least partly) explains why every guy in school falls in love with Elle. Courtney and Elordi don’t have as much to do, but the latter’s turn on the critically acclaimed HBO series “Euphoria” gives his return shades of tragedy as well. The film clocks in at 132 minutes, which is unnecessary — especially given the secondhand embarrassment viewers must endure — but understandable for Netflix. The distributor doesn’t play by the rules; it will likely deem “The Kissing Booth 2” a hit among its pantheon of rom-coms,

backing the claim with metrics that count two minutes of streaming as a view. (To be fair, the first film, though critically panned, probably did perform well, if the young actors’ social media followings are any indication.) And so, we brace for more. Netflix has yet to greenlight another “Kissing Booth,” but the sequel’s ending and its near-guaranteed success suggest it is poised for a follow-up. One can only hope that, given the established pattern, it fares better than “The Godfather: Part III.”

Love ‘The Kissing Booth’? Actor Joel Courtney Promises ‘KB2' Is Even Better

© Provided by The LA Times Joel Courtney plays Lee Flynn, now a senior in high school, in "The Kissing Booth 2" on Netflix. (Marcos Cruz / Netflix) Joel Courtney thinks “The Kissing Booth 2” is better than “The Kissing Booth.” “I just think that we really came into our characters in more of a powerful way in the second film, because we knew the characters, we already had history with these characters,” said the actor, who plays Lee Flynn in Netflix's rom-com sequel, which dropped on Friday. "We had history with each other. I think that it really allowed for more depth of character and character building. And then on set, there was a comfortability.” Once he found out there would be a second film, Courtney was excited to return to the characters that drove the original — Netflix's most-rewatched movie of 2018 — and built a solid fan base. "There were rumors [of a sequel],” he said. “There were basically fan petitions happening at that time and I kept thinking, ‘It would be nice, but I don't want to build my hopes too high,’ and then we got the green light and I was just ecstatic. I was so excited to get to come back to these characters that I fell in love with.” Within six

months after the first film was released, the cast’s social media accounts exploded. Fans were begging for a second film. “They fell in love with these characters,” said Courtney, 24. “I've been working for 10 years, I've worked on a lot of projects, but very few reached the audience like I think ‘The Kissing Booth’ did. And it was a really special occasion. I knew it as soon as social media started showing us.” "The Kissing Booth 2," which once again stars Joey King as Lee's best friend, Elle Evans, and Jacob Elordi as his older brother, Noah Flynn, both expands upon and adds new themes to those addressed in the first installment. The sequel sees Lee and Elle as high school seniors, with Noah, now Elle's long-distance boyfriend,

away at college. “The themes for the second film are kind of like learning to be OK in your circumstances,” Courtney said. “For Lee it's specifically learning boundaries, and what it means to be able to be in a relationship, and honestly just. Like, accept the consequences and learn to face issues. There's problems and trials that he comes across in the second film and it's because of his inability to basically say no to his best friend and to his girlfriend.” Courtney believes “The Kissing Booth 2” will connect with people across multiple walks of life because of how real the characters' problems are. And he expects continued appeal to all different age groups, from tweens and teens to their parents and adults in general. “I think it took a lot of adults back to their high school years,” Courtney said. “I think it reminded a lot of people of those John Hughes films from the ’80s. "So moms can watch this movie with their daughters. Younger kids can watch this movie because it’s about their age group. There's just something so real and down to earth about every single one of these characters that pretty much anyone who watched it can find themselves in one of our characters in the movie.” Courtney relates very

strongly to Lee’s character. The actor is the youngest of four siblings, with a sister and two brothers. He also shares personality traits with Lee. © (Robert Gauthier / Los Angeles Times ) Actors Joel Courtney, left, Jacob Elordi and Joey King try out a motorcycle racing game at the Hollywood Dave & Busters in 2018, the year "The Kissing Booth" came out. (Robert Gauthier / Los Angeles Times ) “We're both just absolute goofballs, and we love a good time and we love with our whole hearts,” he said. “And when that goes well, it's the most joyful thing in the world, and when it goes badly it hurts like nothing else is hurt. Lee feels with his entire being. And he's very empathetic and Elle’s his ride-or-die.” Director Vince Marcello, who also co-wrote the sequel, felt that Courtney connected with Lee's character the moment he watched the actor read his lines. "I was struck by his ability to find authentic, childlike joy in any moment," Marcello said. "This is key to Lee’s character. Lee is a child — becoming a man but still

desperately clinging to his adolescence. 'The Kissing Booth' is a coming-of-age story but not just for Elle. Lee and Noah both struggle through their own battles to become the young men they were meant to be. "There were no false moments in this journey for Joel, who was able to capture a youthful innocence" despite being in his early 20s, the director said. In life, Courtney considers himself to be a balance between Elle and Lee, and says Lee has taught him some helpful lessons for life and his career. “I've learned to love people and to kind of take them where they are,” the actor said. “Circumstances being what they are, like if someone's having a bad day, that's OK, just be kind, be patient. Don't expect them to just change their

attitude just because they're around you. I think that's kind of one of the things that Lee expects is everyone to be as happy as he is all the time.” Marcello noticed the strong transition that Courtney made as Lee between the two films. "In this first film, Lee is in the unenviable position of being the sensitive younger brother of Noah Flynn, the most popular guy in school," he said. "In his senior year and moving on to college, he has the chance to come out of Noah’s shadow and into his own. This is such a relatable scenario for anyone who had to follow in the footsteps of a successful older sibling. Joel navigates this transition so beautifully while still holding onto the essential characteristic that makes Lee who he is." Marcello also noticed real growth in Courtney's acting process. "From the start of 'KB1,' Joel was always fun-loving but also a prepared and disciplined actor on set," he said. "In 'KB2,' however, I saw him truly come into his own. I was grateful and so impressed as I watched him prep, rehearse and execute difficult scenes that ranged from comedy to drama to action, and all with passion, focus and intensity. "In fact, his entire awareness and appreciation of the filmmaking process moved to another level, all while

remaining an absolute delight to work with." Courtney's future plans include a film with Lionsgate called “Jesus Revolution,” costarring Jim Gaffigan and set to begin production in 2021. “The story’s about this group of kids in the countercultural movement in the late 1960s, the hippie movement, and they learn about themselves, they learn about life and faith, and they come into themselves,” he said. “And they grow a lot during those crazy, crazy times." As for a third “Kissing Booth,” Courtney would be on board with returning to the franchise. “For the record, I would be totally down,” he said. “I would be in full support of doing it." But, he said, with the world in such a "crazy commotion" right now, it's not the time to be traveling or working in large groups, like on a film set. And it's up to Netflix to work out those details. "But if there were a petition from fans after the second one to do a third, I would totally sign it.”

What To Stream This Weekend: Netflix's 'The Kissing Booth 2,' Dave Franco's 'The Rental'

Dan Stevens, Alison Brie, Sheila Vand and Jeremy Allen White play guests whose Airbnb getaway turns deadly in "The Rental," directed by Dave Franco. USA TODAY Theaters are still closed, but new streaming movies are coming to entertain you and your family during socially distanced times. This weekend, actor Dave Franco unleashes his chilling directing debut; a young-adult rom-com sequel arrives on Netflix; Rosamund Pike plays a scientific pioneer in a new biopic; a bunch of real-life singing fisherman get the cinematic treatment; and Orlando Bloom is a tortured soul in a British drama with religious overtones. If that's not enough to get you online and watching movies, the smartphone-friendly streaming service Quibi has unveiled its most star-filled project yet: Kevin Hart stars as a fictionalized version of himself in "Die Hart," an action comedy airing new chapters daily that finds the comedian going to Action Star School and taking lessons from a nutty instructor (John Travolta).

Ranked: Every horror movie of 2020 (including Dave Franco's 'The Rental') Missing movie theaters? Fill up the car and head to these drive-ins Here's a rundown of new movies hitting streaming this weekend, for every cinematic taste:  Alison Brie stars as an Airbnb guest whose getaway is filled with paranoia and terror in the horror film "The Rental." (Photo: IFC FILMS) If you want a reason never to go on vacation again: 'The Rental' You might want to rethink that Airbnb reservation for when things get back to normal. In Franco's deeply freaky thriller, two partners (Dan Stevens and Sheila Vand) at a startup head off to celebrate their launch at a weekend getaway with their significant others (Alison Brie and Jeremy Allen White). An oddball house host, hidden cameras in the showers, unearthed secrets and a mysterious figure all factor into an entertaining and twisty vacation from hell. Where to watch: Apple TV, Vudu, Google Play "Radioactive" (July 24): Rosamund Pike stars as Marie Curie and Sam Riley plays husband Pierre in a biopic about her scientific work and discoveries in the late 19th and early 20th centuries as well as their impact on the

world. (Photo: LAURIE SPARHAM) If you dig science nerds doing science stuff: 'Radioactive' Marie Curie seems like a pretty decent choice to get her own biopic, though this one's pretty dry unless you're really into radium and polonium. The drama digs into the game-changing advancements of Curie (Pike) and husband Pierre (Sam Riley), as well as her later work caring for soldiers during World War I. A bolder filmmaking choice, however, is how the film sets Curie's story aside for tangential episodes about how her discoveries factored into future events like the development of the atomic bomb and Chernobyl.   Where to watch:Amazon Prime The arrival of new classmate Marco (Taylor Perez) makes senior year more interesting for Elle (Joey King) in "The Kissing Booth 2." (Photo: MARCOS CRUZ/NETFLIX) If you're down for going back to high school: 'The Kissing Booth 2' Clocking in at a hefty two hours and 12 minutes, this is the "Avengers: Endgame" of young-adult rom-coms, with seemingly as many characters but more dance video-game throwdowns. An ultra-cheesy bit of teen-movie comfort food, the sequel follows Elle (Joey King) in her senior year of high school navigating a long-distance relationship with boyfriend Noah (Jacob Elordi), best friendship with pal Lee (Joel Courtney) and the arrival of an attractive new classmate (Taylor Perez).  Where to watch:Netflix "Fisherman's Friends" stars Sam Swainsbury (from left), James Purefoy, Dave Johns and David Hayman as Cornish seafarers who also belong to an unlikely boy band. (Photo: SAMUEL GOLDWYN FILMS) If you love 'The Commitments' and sea songs: 'Fisherman’s Friends' A familiar underdog narrative is afoot, but at least it sounds peppy in this musical dramedy based on a true story. A young London music executive (Daniel Mays) is pranked by his co-workers into signing a group of singing fisherman from Cornwall, a situation complicated when the city slicker falls for the daughter (Tuppence Middleton) of the group's gruff leader (James Purefoy).

But it turns out these shanty-loving dudes are appealing enough to score a hit record – and win your heart, to boot. Where to watch: Apple TV, Vudu, Fandango Now Alec Secareau is an ex-soldier and Carla Juri is a young woman caring for her mother in the horror film "Amulet." (Photo: ROB BAKER ASHTON/MAGNET RELEASING) If you're creeped out by noises in the attic: 'Amulet' British actress Romola Garai goes behind the camera to direct her first feature, a devilish horror flick that'll get under your skin. An ex-soldier (Alec Secareanu) is recruited by a nun (Imelda Staunton) to help a young woman (Carla Juri) with the upkeep of her decrepit house. Her elderly mother lives upstairs and is scary as all get out, though the truth of what's exactly going on is revealed during a slow-burn chiller that really sneaks up on you. Where to watch: Apple TV, Google Play, Fandango Now Josh Hartnett plays a Canadian investigative journalist trying to unearth corruption in the crime drama "Most

Wanted." (Photo: SABAN FILMS) If you crave journalism flicks and drug-addict dramas equally: 'Most Wanted' Josh Hartnett headlines this drama based on real events as a Canadian investigative journalist who travels to Bangkok to interview an imprisoned drug addict (Antoine Olivier Pilon). Jailed as part of a heroin bust, the junkie holds the truth about the corruption that the reporter wants to expose but also puts his family's life in danger. At over two hours, the engaging film wears out its welcome a smidge but does give comedian Jim Gaffigan a chance to really break type as a shady Vancouver drug dealer.    Where to watch: Apple TV, Vudu, Fandango Now Orlando Bloom plays a construction worker traumatized by his past in the drama "Retaliation." (Photo: SABAN FILMS) If you're an Orlando Bloom completist: 'Retaliation' Bloom's a busy man this streaming summer, popping up in "The Outpost" and now in this moody film playing construction worker Malky, whose latest job is demolishing a church. When he sees a man from his traumatic past at a local pub, hard

feelings and repressed emotions are triggered in a big way, leading Malky down a vengeful path. The story's about as subtle as Malky's sledgehammer, but Bloom's a standout and the film deftly explores themes of sex abuse in the church amid a host of religious symbolism. Where to watch: Apple TV, Vudu, Fandango Now Corbin Bernsen is a familiar face in the audaciously bad indie horror "A Deadly Legend." (Photo: GRAVITAS VENTURES) If you're needing a good laugh: 'A Deadly Legend' This excruciatingly bad horror film isn't a comedy, but you'll giggle just the same. A construction site to develop real estate property over an old summer campground unearths a mystical place where a witch covered in chains does eternal battle with a creepy evil demon ghost woman, with psychic-kid nonsense thrown in for some reason. Even worse, the flick wastes some familiar faces, including Judd Hirsch, Lori Petty and Corbin Bernsen, who plays the town's knower of all things kooky. Nag Panchami puja

The main ritual is offering milk to the Nag Devta or the snake god. Offering milk to snakes is an old tradition in India on panchami tithi and it is said that the ritual keeps evil away. Many also observe fast on that day. Food made with milk as a key ingredient is also offered as prashad to the god.

People are known to make snake idols with clay at home for puja. Milk, turmeric, kumkum and flowers are used for puja. Flowers and milk are also kept near the burrows and holes where snakes may be found.

    Nag Panchami and mythology

According to Hindu scriptures Lord Shiva's snake Vasuki took part in the Samudra Manthan, that explains the origin of amrita or the nectar of immortality. Vasuki helped both the devas and the asuras to bind him to Mount Mandara or Mandar Parvat so that they could use him as their churning rope to get the amrita from the ocean. Vasuki is mentioned extensively in Hindu scriptures and the epics of Ramayana and Mahabharata.

In the Buddhist mythology, Vasuki and the other snake gods appear in the audience when Gautama Buddha gave his sermons. In India, devotees pray to several snake gods on Nag Panchami. Some among them are Ananta, Shesha, Padma, Kambala, Kaliya and Vasuki.

Shivraj Singh Chouhan Tests Positive For Coronavirus

Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan on Saturday announced on Twitter that he had tested positive for COVID-19. He has been admitted to Chirayu Hospital, a private COVID-19 facility, for treatment.

In a post, 61-year-old Mr. Chouhan wrote, “My beloved residents of the State, I was having COVID-19 symptoms, and after a test my report has come out to be positive.” He appealed to those who came in contact with him to get themselves tested, and his close contacts to go into quarantine.

“All required tests have been carried out. His condition is normal,” said Ajay Goenka of Chirayu Medical College and Hospital.

BJP State media in-charge Lokendra Parashar said Mr. Chouhan would be admitted to Chirayu hospital, a private COVID-19 facility, for treatment.

An MLA from Budhni, Mr. Chouhan is the seventh legislator from the State — six from the BJP and one from the Congress — to have contracted the illness so far. On Wednesday, Minister Arvind Singh Bhadoria had tested positive hours after he attended a Cabinet meeting. A day before, he accompanied Mr. Chouhan to Lucknow to pay his last respects to Governor Lalji Tandon. Earlier, Rajya Sabha MP Jyotiraditya Scindia had also contracted the illness.

Mr. Chouhan further said he was following all COVID-19 guidelines. “Based on the doctor’s advice, I will quarantine myself. My appeal to the State’s people is to be cautious. Even little negligence is like inviting corona. I made all possible efforts to keep corona at bay, but people met me on several subjects.”

Despite being in the Cabinet meeting where Mr. Bhadoria was present, Mr. Chouhan held one-on-one meetings with at least 17 Ministers, including Health Minister Prabhuram Choudhary, on Thursday. A day before, he met six Ministers similarly, the Chief Minister’s office said. On Thursday evening, he attended a function at the BJP State office here where former Congress MLA Narayan Patel switched over.

“When there is timely treatment for COVID-19, the person recovers completely,” Mr. Chouhan said on Twitter. “I have been reviewing the COVID-19 situation every evening since March 25. If possible, I will try to review the situation through video conferencing.”

In Mr. Chouhan’s absence, the regular meetings would be attended by Home Minister Narottam Mishra, Urban Development and Administration Minister Bhupendra Singh, Medical Education Minister Vishvas Sarang and Mr. Choudhary. “During my treatment, I will make all efforts to contain COVID-19 in the State,” said Mr. Chouhan.

Hoping for his speedy recovery, former Chief Minister Kamal Nath tweeted: “The only regret is that when we were serious about COVID-19, then sometimes you called it drama, and other times a tool to protect the regime. We were saying from the start this is a serious disease. There is a need to be cautious, follow its protocols.” If Mr. Chouhan had been cautious, claimed Mr. Nath, “and followed the protocols and guidelines, didn’t take it as a joke, then probably you would have been saved from it.”

Expressing sadness over his contracting the illness, Rajya Sabha MP Digvijaya Singh said he should have taken care about social distancing which he didn’t. “The Bhopal police had registered an FIR against me, but how would they have acted against you. Take care in the future.”

After taking oath as the Chief Minister on March 23, Mr. Chouhan ran a single-man Cabinet for around 100 days, being the Health Minister as well, before five other Ministers were appointed.

Shivraj Singh Chouhan Tests Covid Positive, Admitted To Hospital

Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has coronavirus, he tweeted

    Bhopal:

"My dear countrymen, I was having COVID-19 symptoms and, after a test, my report came back positive. I am following all the guidelines and will quarantine myself according to the doctor's advice," the Chief Minister wrote on Twitter.

He also appealed to colleagues and individuals to take all possible precaution to avoid infection and urged those who had come in contact with him to get their tests done as well

"I appeal to the people of my state to be careful, just a little carelessness invites the coronavirus. I made every effort to avoid the virus but people used to meet me on many subjects," Mr Chouhan added.

Close contacts of the Chief Minister, who was to hold a meeting at 11.30 AM, have been quarantined. In his absence, Mr Chouhan wrote, Home Minister Narottam Mishra, Health Minister Vishvas Sarang and others will lead the meeting.

Mr Mishra, among those to have had close contact with the Chief Minister, will also be tested for the virus.

News of Mr Chouhan testing positive comes two days after a minister in his cabinet, Arvind Singh Bhadoria, said he was infected. Mr Bhadoria was among the ministers at Wednesday's cabinet meeting, which was chaired by the Chief Minister

Meanwhile, the Chief Minister reassured supporters that there was no need to panic and that despite his medical condition he would continue to lead efforts to contain the virus in his state.

"No need to panic, If coronavirus is treated in time, it is curable," he said. Adding, "I have been reviewing the status of coronavirus infections every evening since March 25. I will try to review this via video conferencing as much as possible now".

An ambulance enters the official residence of Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan

Former Chief Minister Kamal Nath tweeted: "I pray to God for his (Mr Chouhan's) speedy recovery".

Another former Chief Minister, Uma Bharti, said she was praying for the recovery of both Mr Chouhan and Mr Bhadoria. "I pray they get well soon. All be well. May this disease leave our planet," she said.

Mr Chouhan and Mr Bhadoria had attended the funeral of the late Madhya Pradesh Governor Lalji Tandon, who died at a hospital in Uttar Pradesh's Lucknow on July 21.

Madhya Pradesh has recorded over 26,000 COVID-19 cases so far, including 791 deaths linked to the virus. The number of active cases in the state is more than 7,500.

Digvijaya Singh, while wishing a speedy recovery for Chouhan also said that he should have taken care of social distancing.

"Pained that Shivraj Jee...You got corona infection. May god heal you soon. You should have taken care of social distancing which you did not. Bhopal Police had filed an FIR against me, how would have they done that against you. Going forward please take care," tweeted Digvijaya Singh.

Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan on Saturday said he has tested positive for the novel coronavirus.

"I was having COVID-19 symptoms. After the test, my report came back positive. I appeal to all my friends that whoever has come in contact with me, should get their corona test done. Those who came in close contact with me should quarantine," he said in a tweet.

Gmail Is Getting A Major Redesign – See It In Action Right Here

  • The Gmail app is getting even more useful for work, especially during the novel coronavirus pandemic, where more and more people have to work from home.https://covid19semtems.blogspot.com/

Gmail’s Upcoming Redesign Focuses On Work Chat, Rolling Out Later This Year

  • Gmail is getting a redesign focused on work, confirmed Google.
  • Google’s email app will include quick access to Chat, Meet, and Rooms.
  • The update is rolling out to G Suite users later this year.
  • Update: July 15, 2020 at 5:00 PM ET: Just a few hours after news broke about the new Gmail redesign, Google confirmed the news on its Google Cloud blog. The new version of Gmail is rolling out in an early access preview for G Suite users next week, while all G Suite users will get the redesign later this year.

The Verge reports that little will change for non-G Suite users, though Google says it is “actively thinking through how and when to bring this experience to the consumers who might want it.”

Original article: July 15, 2020 at 2:00 PM ET: Gmail could soon be a hub for all your work conversations — at least, if Google has its way.https://gameszonefreetoplay.blogspot.com/

Software engineer Tahin Rahman says he has discovered (via 9to5Google) upcoming slides from Google’s Cloud Next event that reveal a significant, work-focused redesign of Gmail on mobile and the web.

While Chat and Meet have already had some integration, such as a rollout for Meet for some iOS users, the new interface would weave Chat, Meet, and Rooms directly into the interface. You would see tabs for each service at the bottom of the screen on Android and iOS, while the web version would display relevant details from each in the side column.

The new Gmail would be smarter about conversations, too. It would “nudge” you on chats you’ve neglected for a while, and surface your most important rooms. On the web, you could edit documents alongside chats and participate in picture-in-picture video meetings that let you see more of what you’re discussing. Tabs could help you see shared files and tasks.

mobile blog blogger blogg gmail blog free temple wight loss

mobile blog blogger blogg gmail blog free temple wight loss

The slides also reference already-announced plans to upgrade Meet itself, including attendance checks, hand raising, custom backgrounds and Q&A sessions.

Google is expected to announce the Gmail overhaul next week during productivity sessions at Cloud Next, although it’s not certain when the new features would be widely available.

This wouldn’t be a completely surprising move for Google. It’s competing not just with multi-talented email apps like Microsoft’s Outlook, but a host of modern work tools and services like Slack and Microsoft Teams. An all-in-one app could give companies an incentive to rally around Google products instead of splitting their attention between multiple apps.

This also reflects the changing reality of the workplace. The COVID-19 pandemic has forced many companies to require working from home, with some switching to permanent remote work. A more powerful Gmail app could be better-suited to staff who may never meet in person.

Gmail Redesign Turns It Into A One-stop Productivity Suite [Update: It’s Official]

  • All the old right-side panels are still here, so it's like every GSuite app in a single page. Tahin Rahman / Ron Amadeo
  • It looks like big changes are coming to Gmail. Twitter user Tahin Rahman posted leaked slides (first spotted by 9to5Google) detailing a merger between Gmail, Google Docs, Google Chat, and Google Meet that looks to be coming to the Web and mobile soon. Google's "Cloud Next 2020" conference kicked off yesterday and will be ongoing for the next three weeks, and we've heard rumors in the past detailing this exact thing, so the slides appear to have been leaked early.

The goal of all this looks to be turning Gmail into a one-stop-shop productivity site, where you can do Slack-style room-based chat or single chats, make video calls, edit documents, and send emails. The desktop site is getting extra controls in the top header and sidebar, while the main panel—which normally shows the inbox or a message—looks like it can be swapped out for other content, like a Google Doc. Meet video calls can be full-screened or float around in a picture-in-picture-style window. Don't forget, this is all in addition to the right-side panel that was introduced in the 2018 redesign, which also lets you open Google Calendar, Keep, and Tasks inside Gmail. With this design, it's like having every Google productivity app—Gmail, Chat, Meet, Calendar, Keep, and Tasks—crammed into a single page that makes you wonder why it's even called "Gmail" anymore.

Gmail has had a side-by-side two-panel view for a while, showing an Outlook-style inbox on the left and a message on the right. With this redesign, it looks like there's more of a focus on the two-panel view. The "Chats" page uses this two-panel view by default, and you can show "Chat," "Files," or "Tasks" in the left panel, with a document or something else living in the right panel. Google appears to be taking the layout of Gmail and using it for all sorts of other functionality.

The mobile Gmail app is getting revamped, too, with bottom tabs for "Mail," "Chat," "Rooms," and "Meet" all in the single Gmail app.

    A sticky future

Since Gmail is one of Google's most popular and "sticky" products (meaning people spend a lot of time in it), it is often used as a trojan horse for less popular Google products. In this case, along with all the productivity stuff, Gmail is being used to boost Google Meet (the company's Zoom competitor) and Google Chat (the company's Slack clone, formerly Hangouts Chat). Both apps are victims of Google's need to constantly tear down and rebuild its messaging apps over and over again, making it hard to build any kind of user base. Chat and Meet are both pretty new and immature apps, and they weren't ready in time to ride the work-from-home video chat craze brought about by COVID-19.

Previously, we've seen Gmail get infected with Google+ and Google Buzz, back when Google was using Gmail to chase the last Internet fad, social media. The productivity additions make Gmail look way more complicated, but at least they fit some kind of reasonable workflow.

We'll probably hear more about this during Google Cloud Next, which is happening for the next three weeks. July 21 starts the "Productivity and collaboration" week, which sounds like a good spot to formally announce these changes. A talk called "Communication in G Suite: The future of Gmail, Chat, Meet, and More" sounds like the one to watch.

    Update: Google makes it official

With the leak already out there, Google went ahead and made it official with a blog post titled "Introducing your new home for work in G Suite." The post reads "G Suite now intelligently brings together the people, content, and tasks you need to make the most of your time. We're integrating core tools like video, chat, email, files, and tasks, and making them better together, so that you can more easily stay on top of things, from anywhere."

    There's also a video:

Part of the sales pitch appears to be that, by combining all of this stuff into a single app, it will be easy to let everyone else know when you're busy. For instance, if you have a call scheduled in Google Meet, your Chat profile can show that you are busy in a call. If you want to focus and turn off notifications for a few hours, a single control can mute incoming messages from all of these services.

The most important takeaway is that, for now, this is only for G Suite and not consumer versions of Gmail. Google told The Verge Gmail-integration-with-everything will launch this week as an "early access preview" for G Suite customers with a rollout to all G Suite accounts later this year. As for consumer accounts, Google told The Verge it is "actively thinking through how and when to bring this experience to the consumers who might want it.”

Google's "Cloud Next 2020" conference kicked off yesterday and will be ongoing for the next three weeks, and we've heard rumors in the past detailing this exact thing, so the slides appear to have been leaked early.https://makemoneyonlinesar.blogspot.com/

After leaking online on Wednesday, Gmail’s first significant redesign since the major makeover a few years ago was announced. Gmail is indeed getting a few awesome features that will satisfy the needs of many people who have been working from home for several months because of the novel coronavirus pandemic. Things aren’t going to change anytime soon, as the health crisis is far from over. Several companies have extended work from home policies, and some of them switched to online work only. A steady internet connection and access to the right apps will make working from home a little easier, and Google aims to increase your productivity by placing some of those must-have apps right inside Gmail. The good news is that all users included covered under a G Suite subscription will have access to the redesign and new features. The bad news is that the commercial version of Gmail will remain as is

Google announced the new Gmail features over on the Google Cloud blog but also on G Suite Updates.

What’s basically going to happen soon is that each G Suite Gmail account will include direct access to several other apps that Google makes. Aside from Gmail, you’ll get a Chat tab for texting, a Meet tab for video conferences, and a Rooms tab, which is essentially a different form of chatting.

Gmail already offers Chat and Meet integration, but this new initiative will take things to the next level. Everything will be available directly in Gmail, whether you access it on an Android phone or iPhone, and on the desktop.

Rooms is the only novelty here, a feature that lets you create chat rooms similar to what you might be doing in Slack or similar group chat apps. The feature will let you create rooms with members of your company, but also rooms with other third-parties.

Furthermore, rooms will include support for real-time collaboration on documents and to-do lists.

Gmail will also support third-party apps, including DocuSign, Salesforce, and Trello, just like you can expect on Slack and other similar services.

Other neat tricks, including better search, “Do Not Disturb” and “Out of Office” modes, and support for pinning important rooms are also included in the package.

What Google is trying here is to offer a unified space for all the productivity apps you might need when working from home, and even the office. G Suite’s Gmail will include a built-in alternative to Slack, as well as Google’s Zoom rival. It’s actually not surprising to see Google consolidate all these resources under the same roof. The move will make plenty of sense to G Suite users who are already relying on Google’s productivity apps for work-related chores. Those people who prefer competing platforms might not transition to the new Gmail, just because it’s better. And there may be an argument from some of these competitors that Google is promoting its own apps and stifling competition.

You’ll have to be on G Suite to use them. Google will start rolling out the Gmail redesign gradually over the coming weeks. The following video preview goes through some of the new features Google announced.

Chris Smith started writing about gadgets as a hobby, and before he knew it he was sharing his views on tech stuff with readers around the world. Whenever he's not writing about gadgets he miserably fails to stay away from them, although he desperately tries. But that's not necessarily a bad thing.
